IGF US-Funds

Through the IGF US-Fund (recognized with 501(c)(3) status), established in 2020, we now offer US donors the possibility of direct donation deduction in the USA. The processing is cost-effective, unbureaucratic and efficient. The fund not only supports U.S. citizens who wish to donate to a charitable organization in Germany, but also offers German organizations the opportunity to collect donations specifically in the U.S.

Payment methods and proof of payment

The IGF US-Fund may accept contributions in cash (by check, money order, wire transfer or online by credit card) or in valued assets such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds or real estate – bequests for inclusion in a fund are also possible.

The IGF US-Fund sends each donor a confirmation of his donation. Donors are advised to keep this confirmation as a receipt for the purpose of proof of donation. This confirms that no goods or services were provided in return for the donation.

Please note that there is a minimum annual donation amount of USD 2,500.00 to the IGF US-Fund and that the administrative process described below (acceptance and acknowledgment of the donation in the USA and transfer to Germany) usually takes between two and six weeks.

How do I donate?

US-based donors can support charitable projects and organizations in Germany in a tax-efficient way by contributing to the “DSZ – International Giving Foundation US Fund” at our partner, every.org. On the every.org website you will find the DSZ – International Giving Foundation and can select various payment options under the “Donate” button.
